NEW CASTLE, In. - Wilma Louise Abbott, 79, of Mooreland died Tuesday, October 12, 2004 in the Henry County Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Brethren in Christ Church of Mount Pleasant. She was born Feb. 7, 1925 in New Castle, a daughter of the late William Leo and Edith Elva Davis Davidson.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Henry Harold, whom she married Oct. 2, 1941; two sons, Gerald (wife:Faye) of New Castle and Doug (wife:Macinda) of Mooreland; three daughters, Holly (husband:David) Poindexter of Losantville, Jane (husband:David) Rains of Spring, Texas, and Tracy (husband:Paul) Nunley of Mooreland; three brothers, George (wife:Betty) Davidson of Muncie, Port (wife:Sue) Davidson of New Castle, and William (wife:Penny) Davidson of South Haven, Mich.; three sisters, Amy Boling of Anderson, Luella Estle of Anderson and Charlotte (husband:Larry) Davis of South Haven, Mich.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Harold; a brother, Alfred Davidson and a sister, Alberta Kenworthy.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Mount Pleasant Hill United Brethren in Christ Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Marvin Hahn and Rev. Dale Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow at the Chicago Corner Cemetery near Hagerstown. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Main and Frame Blue River Chapel, located between Moorleand and Mount Summit, and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday.
