"Kittybird"
Our beloved Cockatiel was raised with cats. When he was a baby, the cats would gather around his cage and chirp, as cats do when they are "birding". Kittybird would watch carefully as the family cats would prepare their menu for the day. His name came naturally "Kittybird.
On a warm summer evening, Kittybird was enjoying the outdoors, as he did on many occassions. I could hear kittybird singing his name "Hi Kittybird" he would say... Then silence.
Kittybird died from natural causes.
Kittybird's favorite toy, my wedding ring. He would perch on my finger and peck at my ring. I would take my ring off and he'd carry it around the house.
Kittybird's final resting place in the backyard. His headstone remains.
