Mrs. Rachel Eagle, widow of the late Augustus Eagle, died at the residence of her son-in-law, Daniel Harp, on Vine Street, on Saturday morning, being an invalid for two and a half years. Mrs. Eagle had been the remarkable survivor of seven previous paralytic strokes, but the eighth stroke proved fatal. During the past two and a half years, she has been entirely helpless. Her age was 67 years, 2 months and 10 days. Her husband preceded her in death two years and five months ago. The following brothers and sisters survive: John Davidheiser, of Pottstown; Daniel and Lewis Davidheiser of Glasgow; Mrs. Sarah Buchert, of Pottstown, and Mrs. Henry Trace, of Glasgow. The following children mourn her loss: Mrs. Sarah Bush, wife of Geo. Washington Bush and Mrs. Mary Harp, wife of Daniel Harp, of Stowe, also Morris Grove, of Stowe who was adopted when an infant.

The funeral of Mrs. Rachel Eagle was held at the residence of her son-in-law, Daniel Harp, Vine Street, yesterday morning. Rev. I. B. Kurtz, pastor of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, made remarks and read a portion of scripture at the house. Misses Esther Lamb and Anna Gross sang effectively, "Go Bury Thy Sorrow." After short services at the house further services where held in Emmanuel Lutheran Church. There was a very large attendance of relatives and friends. Beautiful floral designs showed their esteem for the departed. The pall-bearers were four nephews: William Eagle, David Eagle, Horace Eagle and Samuel Eagle. Undertaker Fillman had charge. Interment was made in Pottstown Cemetery.
