Text of Dolores Autry's Historic Linwood Cemetery book, edited by Dowd & others, shows Mrs. S. C. Hawks with no dates but the Sexton date of burial and age, laid out as though there is a grave marker with name but no dates or other information. "S. C." did not come from the card in the Sexton's card file or from the original entry in the Sexton ledger (just says "Mrs."). No inscribed grave marker has been detected in the lot, but it may now be covered over. The treatment for her daughter Miss Julia Hawks (buried November 13, 1898) is identical, except that the Sexton record includes no age for her.
