Catherine married Samuel Jennings
(Born: 23 Oct 1905
Died: 18 Apr 1988)
in Monroe, the year of 1946.

Sam and Catherine lived in Monroe and were married for 41 years. After Sam's death, she then married Joseph Wing, April 10, 1989 in Toledo. They were married until her death 15 years later. Catherines original shared stone with husband Sam is in Woodland Cemetery. She however chose her final resting place to be beside her 3rd husband.
Survived by husband and Daughter Joyce (Charles) Lewis of Monroe, a sister Edith Colley of Grayson, Ky.

Note: Sister Edith has since also passed away.

Catherine was my grandmother Fannie's sister. She and husband Sam were instrumental in getting her sister Fannie and family to Monroe in the 50s.
She first brought Kermit and Fannie's oldest son Charles from Kentucky to Monroe to live with her while he got started with Ford Motor Company.

She also gave Fannie the cook job at her Busy Bee Restuarant.

Catherine had a strong presence in her nephew Stanley's early life.

Interesting fact. Catherine had a habit of crossing her arms across her chest and then rubbing her fingers on her arms. Her sister Fannie had a thumb twirling habit:)

Along with husband Sam, Catherine was able to over the years be a helpful/strong presence in the family.
