Homegoing Services for Mr. Arthur Ambrose, 69 who passed in Hartford, Connecticut on Sunday, January 25, 2009 will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Fletcher Funeral Home with Rev. James Broussard officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Matthew Cemetery. Visitation will be observed from 7:00 a.m. until the time of services.

Mr. Ambrose was born on May 26, 1939 to the late Amos and Melvina Ambrose in New Iberia, LA. He resided in Hartford and was a member of Mount Calvary Church Ministries in Manchester.
He leaves to mourn his passing, are his wife and the love of his life, Anne Jones Ambrose; two beloved children, Mark Ambrose and Crystal Knight of East Hartford; two brothers, Willie Leonard Ambrose (Audrey) and Edward Ambrose; three sisters, Elizabeth Ambrose Jones, Willie Mae Ambrose and Delores Raymond (Alfred "Rodee") in New Iberia, LA; four grandchildren, Ashonna Ambrose-Daniels of Virginia, Lena Knight, Ashley Knight and Shaun Knight of East Hartford and one great grandchild; a close cousin Reginald Boseman, special friends Lillie Jordan and Willie McNealy, three godchildren, Mary Lou Johnson of New Iberia, LA, Sgt. Rhonda Boseman Stockton and Tracey Gonsalves, many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by a brother Alex Ambrose (Bea) and two sisters Mary Johnson and Dorothy Lee.
