CHETEK -- Dolores L. Komisarek, 78, of Chetek, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2002, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Chippewa Falls.
She was born April 11, 1924, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Paul and Cecilia (Trepczyk) Phillip. After graduating from high school in Milwaukee, Dolores worked as a seamstress for a furrier in the Milwaukee area.
Dolores married Florian Komisarek on Feb. 14, 1946, in Milwaukee. She and Florian ventured to Chetek where they managed the Indianhead Resort. After this she worked for Abbott Drug and Lutz Drug in Chetek, and Woolworth Drug Store in Chippewa Falls.
She enjoyed people and loved her "summertime visitors." She enjoyed her time of the lake and also fishing. She enjoyed bowling in the past and liked the "casino runs."
Survivors include: three children, Jeffrey (Cheryl) of Greenfield, Craig (Connie) of Naperville, Ill., and Candy (Dennis) Jenke of Chippewa Falls; sister, Geraldine (Joe) Sowinski of Pewaukee; six grandchildren, Lisa (fiancŽ, Eric Spranger) Komisarek of Waukesha, Lori (Bob) Huebner of West Allis, Kristin Komisarek of Huntington, N.Y., Kimberly (Brady) Hosinger of Summamish, Wash., LeRoy Jenke of Eau Claire and Jennifer Jenke of Chippewa Falls; one great-granddaughter, Katie Honsinger of Summamish, Wash.; nieces and nephews, Jim (Carolyn) Sowinski of Bloomington, Ind., Paula (Mark) Schafer of Waukesha and John (Donna) Sowinski of Manitowoc.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Florian in April 1990; numerous aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Chetek, with Father Gerard Willger officiating.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
