Widow of Jesse Elkins Summoned

Mrs. Addie Elkins, 65, widow of Jesse Elkins, and a former resident of Jackson township, died Sunday morning at her home in Kendallville. She had been ill the past six months.

Mrs. Elkins was born in Jackson township. She was first united in marriage to Charles Huffman, who preceded her in death. Two children were born to this union. Her second marriage was to Jesse Elkins, who also preceded her in death. No children were born to this union.

The decedent had resided at Kendallville the past 18 years. She was a member of the Methodist church at Kendallville.

Surviving are a son, Herman Huffman, of LaPorte; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Armel, of Kendallville, and two sisters, Mrs. Glen Lee and Mrs. Charles Mendenhall, of Warren.

The body was removed to the H. Brown & Son funeral home at Warren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Methodist church in Warren in charge of Rev. L. M. Hile. Burial will be in the Jones cemetery.
