Aunt Gertrude kept an inviting home, provided wonderful Southern home cooking and kept a beautiful yard with flowers that were exquisite and so very enjoyable. A fond childhood memory is a family visit from Texas to Mississippi, and we ate watermelon outside in Aunt Gertrude and Uncle Grady's beautiful yard at a picnic table. It was like a picture from Southern Living magazine, and she was widely known for her marvelous yard and flowers. (Nancy Yankie, grand neice)
