A native of Lee County, KY she was the daughter of the late Rev. John Carl Breckenridge "Brack" Morrison and the late Ellen Smith Morrison. She was a homemaker, a retired supervisor at Hart, Shaffner and Marx Clothing and a member of the First Church of God, Colby Rd where she served as a Sunday School teacher and a choir member.
Additional survivors include, one daughter, Dr. Karen Profitt Newman (William Johnstone) of Louisville; one son and daughter-in-law, Terrance Wayne and Pamela Profitt of Elk River, MN; four grandchildren, Morgan and Jason Armstrong of Louisville, Conrad Harding Newman of CA, Ashley Michelle Profitt of TX and Benjamin David and Michelle Profitt of CO.; one great granddaughter, Sara Jo Armstrong; one brother and sister-in-law, Odell and Liz Morrison of Winchester, IN; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Omalene and Rev. William Carpenter of Panama City, FL and O'Neal Bowen of Pigeon Forge, TN; additional brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Illa Whisman, Pauline Lojinger, Willie Eugene and Geneva Profitt, Irene and Nathan Hatton, Lawrence and Virginia Profitt and Shirley Young and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by several siblings, Olena, Oneida, Orine, Odean, Odeth and Otha.
Services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Monday April 21, 2008 at Scobee Funeral Home, Winchester, by Rev. Paul Hollingsworth and Rev. William Carpenter. Burial will be in the Winchester Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ben Profitt, Conrad Newman, Jason Armstrong, Dean Allen Hatton, Brian Profitt, Jason Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be William Carpenter, Willie Eugene Profitt, Lawrence Profitt, Nathan Hatton, William Johnstone, Hon. Judge Edward Johnstone, Leo Vanoy, Elmer Ray Whisman, Rick Newman, Bo Bowling and Delmer Carter.
Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Sunday April 20, 2008 at Scobee Funeral Home.
