Ann Frazier, daughter of Francis and Eunice Frazier, was born in Randolph county, Indiana, May 24, 1832, and died at the home of her son, J.L. Hockett, Monday, June 26, 1905. She was seventy-three years, one month and two days old. In the year of 1838 she moved to Henry County, Iowa. She was married to J.S. Hockett, November 28, 1850. To this union were born four children, three sons and one daughter, three of whom, two sons and the daughter together with the husband and father, preceded her to the eternal home.
In 1855 she moved with her husband to Hardin county, being one of the early settlers and has had almost a continuous residence in Hardin county and Marshall county since that time. She has been a resident of Chester neighborhood for forty years.
Fourteen years ago she was stricken with heart trouble and has been a patient Christian and sufferer ever since. She has been confined to her bed for the past eight weeks gradually growing worse.
The funeral services were held at the Chester church, June 27th, conducted by R.B. Newby. The interment occurred in the Chester cemetery. Information provided by Kent Myrick.
