Burial will be in St. Jules Cemetery in Tee-Mamou.
Visitation will be held from 2:30-8 p.m. today, Sunday, and will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Monday. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. today, Sunday.
Mrs. Bergeaux passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family early Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Jennings American Legion Hospital.
She was born in Tee-Mamou to the late Ulysses and Azeline Pitre Miller. Mrs. Begeaux retired from the Louisiana Southwest State School in Iota. She continued to work as a caregiver. She loved to sew, cook, garden, and to visit with people. No one was a stranger to her. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two sons, Allen "Cowboy" (Latitia) Bergeaux and Johnny Bergeaux both of Tee-Mamou; four daughters, Della (Ervin) Lantz, Eva (Bud) Breaux, both of Sulphur, Shirley (Joe) Granger, and Judy (Belin) Landry, both of Tee-Mamou; one brother, Elbey (Velma) Miller of Evangeline; one sister, Margaret King of Sulphur; 39 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Alfred "Fred" Bergeaux; one son, Robert Lee "T-Boy" Bergeaux; two daughters, Jeanette Hearod and Audrey LaPoint; three grandchildren, Jacob Lantz, Jessica Lynn Saltzman, and Alexander Browne; two sisters, Della and Hazel Miller; and three brothers, Jesse, Sydney, and Florence Miller.
