Marget Edna (Carrell) Parrish, 73, died at Nolan Nursing and Rehab on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005, following a courageous battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born on May 14, 1931, in San Angelo. She married Alvin Parrish on Dec. 18, 1947, in Cottonwood.
Edna is survived by her husband, Alvin Parrish; her daughters, Linda Linebaugh of Sweetwater and Melissa Parrish of Ranger; her sons, Allen Parish and his wife, Pat, of Big Spring, and Harold Parrish of Sweetwater; her sisters, Oneta Bell and her husband, David, of Eula, and Effie Jo Sheppard and her husband, Edward, of Odessa. She has 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Henry and Marget Ellenard Carrell; her sister, Madlene Slate; and her brothers, Wylie Carrell and Richard Carrell.
Funeral services for Edna Parrish will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, in the Higginbotham Funeral Home chapel in Cross Plains.
Edna's nephew, Rodney Bell, will officiate the service. Burial will follow in the Cross Plains Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are welcome at Higginbotham Funeral Home in Cross Plains from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005.
Edna has many friends and family in Big Spring, Cross Plains and Sweetwater. She will be greatly missed. She will live in our hearts forever.
