Lonas, Pearl D., age 91, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2002 at Life Center of Athens. She is preceded in death by her husband; Arthur Lonas, parents; Joe and Hattie Dawson, two sons; Joe and Carroll Lonas. Survivors include: five daughters; Katherine Emerson of Sweetwater, Tennessee, June Abbott of Sweetwater, Tennessee, Louise Lowe of Rockford, Ill., Evelyn Howard of Athens, Tennessee, Diane Parks of Crown Point, Ind.; three sons: James Lonas of Niota, Tennessee, Roy Lonas of Niota, Tennessee, Wesley Lonas of Rockford, Ill.; two sisters: Dorothy Frisbee of Niota, Tennessee, Rosie of Morristown, Tennessee; 30 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren. The body is at Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2002. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Kyker Funeral Home with the Rev. Emmett Morgan and the Rev. Charles Cassady officiating. Interment will be in West View Cemetery. Kyker Funeral Home, Sweetwater is in charge of arrangements.
