Gladys Lehman, of Ionia, passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002. She was born in Wellington, Ohio, the daughter of Jesse and Christina (Ziegler) Burge. Mrs. Lehman was a retired school teacher, teaching at Ionia High School, and was an active member of First Christian Church of Ionia.
She is survived by her husband, Gordon Lehman; children, Christine (Chris) Rauser of Highland Park, Ill., David (Keverne) Lehman of Grand Rapids, Donald (Bonnie) Lehman of Ionia and Margo (Mark) Moore of Pretoria, South Africa; 10 grandchildren, Peter and Mark Rauser, Rebecca, Richard, and Caroline Lehman, Julie, Matthew, and Kimberly Lehman, and Melanie and Laura Moore.
A memorial gathering will be celebrated at 2 p.m., Wednesday at First Christian Church of Ionia, with Rev. Carol Meeder, Pastor officiating. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church or Ionia Area Hospice in memory of Gladys Lehman. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cook Funeral Home, Ionia.
