Clarence Emil Smith was born in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin on August 3, 1913, to Herman E. Smith and Hazel Steyvesant Smith. He married Georgeanna Jones of Lake Geneva on February 9, 1939. Surviving are his wife and their three children: Clarice, Margaret and Mildred; parents Mr. and Mrs. Herman Smith of Lyons. In addition, three sisters Miss Loretta Smith, Mrs. Emma Porter and Mrs. Zelda Lesher as well as six brothers: Frank, Tilford, George, Wallace, James and Herman.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o'clock at the Habecker – Derrich funeral home. The Rev. H. J. Diehl, pastor of the First Evangelical Lutheran church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakhill cemetery.
