According to his death cert. he was born in Argile, Scotland. Male, white, single. He was the child of John McPhail of Scotland, mother listed as unknown. Tailor by trade. The only reason for death was listed as senility and arteriosclorosis as contributory. Informant was W J Marr, worked for the Pythian Home. Male, white, single. Date on death cert. for birth had April 30 and scratch with 20 above the 30. Not sure which is correct.
