FRAZIER
Eunice Ann Frazier, oldest daughter of John and Anna Mills, and the last of a family of ten children, was born Feb. 13, 1831 in Miami Co., Ohio, and died June 11, 1920 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ida Parker at Salem, Iowa. She, with her parents, came to Iowa at the age of 21 years, locating in Salem when there were only a few houses, and later on a farm north of Salem where she lived until she was married to Cyrus Frazier in 1857. Seven children came to bless this union, two of these dying in infancy, also Rose, wife of Jesse A. Wood, died March 27, 1919, R. A. of Ottumwa, Ia., Luther, of Pleasanton, Iowa, W.A. Frazier and Ida E. Parker, both of Salem, Ia., and Elva Nichols of Hillsboro, Iowa.
In 1877 she, with her husband and family, moved to Kansas for a short time but the remainder of her life was spent in Iowa. Later in life owing to ill health of the husband, they lived in the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ida Parker, where he died March 19, 1906, and where she lived the remainder of her 89 years. The last four years she has been a great care, during which time Mrs. Parker and brother Albert have very tenderly and faithfully cared for her, assisted at times by others. She expressed the thought that all was well with her. She was a faithful helpmate, a kind and indulgent mother and loved by all who knew her.
The funeral was held at the Cedar church Sunday at 11 a.m. Mrs. Bessie Collins preached the sermon. Burial as in Cedar cemetery.
