Funeral services were held Jan. 18 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Ionia, for Emma Abbey, 82, of Hillis Road, Stanton, formerly of Ionia, who died Jan. 16, 1993, at Ionia Mamor. The Rev. Theodore Voll officiating with interment in Palo Cemetery.
Mrs. Abbey was born June 11, 1910, in Ionia, the daughter of Gustav and Mary Hackett Uhlich.
She had been a resident of Stanton since 1990 and formerly was a longtime resident of the Ionia area. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ionia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Abbey, in 1972, a son, William Abbey, in 1986, and a brother, John Uhlich, in 1992.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church. Arrangments were handled by Stebbins and Simpson Funeral Home, Sheridan.
