Medina County Gazette-April 13, 1893: Maria McClure was born in Cortland New York, July 31, 1820. In the fall of 1828 she came with her father the late Jarius McClure, and family to Ohio, settling in Medina. She was married in this village to Samuel H. Bradley who survives her death on November 24, 1841. Of this union two children were born John A. who is now in business in the West, and a daughter, Fanny, whose untimely death by drowning, about 30 years ago, when she was but 12 years of age, will be remembered by all the older residents of the town.
The funeral services were held on Saturday forenoon at her late home, the Rev. J. W. Hawthorne of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiated. The remains were placed in the receiving vault at Spring Grove Cemetery.
