"DEATH OF MRS. CHRISTENSEN ~ Camilla Christensen, wife of S.S. Christensen of Sandy, a resident of Utah since 1865 and of Sandy for the last 20 years, died at that place yesterday of enlargement of the heart.
Mrs. Christensen came to Utah when only 14 years of age, crossing the plains with an ox team in company with her older sister, now Mrs. Adolph Hauerbach, the late A.W. Winberg and John Sorensen. On the trip across the plains the party met with serious Indian experiences in one of which a number of the members were wounded. On reaching this valley Mrs. Christensen, then Camilla Olsen, took up her residence in Salt Lake, removing later to Draper and thence to Sandy.
Mrs. Christensen is survived by the husband, Soren Christensen, Samuel C., Ephraim and Fred Christensen of Salt Lake; Millie Christensen of Sandy and Mrs. Adolph Hauerbach and Mrs. Jedediah Stokes of Salt Lake.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Sandy ward meetinghouse."
