Former Valley Resident Dies At Rupert Ida.
Mrs. Hettie May Wilkes Blacker, wife of Thomas Blacker of Rupert, Idaho died early Sunday morning in the Rupert General Hospital of complications following an operation.
She was the daughter of John and Martha Wilkes and was born November 19 1883 at St Charles, Idaho. A few years later the family moved to Afton. She married Thomas Blacker in the Logan Temple in 1903, and the couple made their home in Afton until 1920 when they moved to Rupert, Idaho where they have lived ever since.
Survivors include her husband, eight sons and three daughters, Thos.L, Alma, Hyrum, Geo., Earl, and Verl Blacker, Mrs Merintha Mac Gardner and Mrs Marie Green, Rupert; Edward L and William F. Blacker, Ontario, Oregon, and Mrs Elsie Hatch of Afton.
They have 24 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the L.D.S. Tabernacle at Rupert and she was buried in the Rupert cemetery. The services were directed by the Goodman Mortuary.
