Florence's father and pregnant mother left England together with two children for a new life in Australia. Unfortunately these two children died on the voyage. A daughter was born soon after their arrival, but she died as an infant.
Altogether 14 children were born, only 7 of whom reached past the age of 6 years.
Florence married William Milham, who is also remember on these pages, and had several children, among them Hazel Jean, who married a U.S. Serviceman during WWII. They had a son Harry John a.k.a. John, who stayed in Australia and was raised by his grand-parents.
According to Harry, Florence was a very strict but fair grand-mother who provided to the best of her ability a loving home environment for him.
Florence was buried with her husband William in a Military grave. No headstone was ever placed for her by her family on this grave until 1994 when Harry placed a memorial for both his grand-mother and his mother whose ashes had been brought out from the U.S. following her accidental death.
She is sadly and deeply missed by her grand-son "John"
