According to "History and Genealogy - Polhemus - 1284 - 1954," page 11, Rachel died after an angry rooster flew into her face and raked her temple. Freelove is buried with her husband Joseph in the Silverton cemetery. The stone is very worn, and can only be read from a particular angle, in just the right lighting conditions. The cousins who walked the cemetery almost missed finding it. Maybe Freelove wanted to be found.
