The funeral of Julius A. Barnsback, Jr., took place Thursday afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. W.E. Ravenscroft at St. John's M.E. Church. Deceased was in his 52d year. he has been totally blind for years, having lost his eyesight by the premature explosion of a cannon he was assisting to operate while a student at McKendree College, Lebanon, on the occasion of a celbration in honor of Lincoln's second inaguration as Prsident. Despite his affliction he was comfortably situated, owning a valuable farm near this city.
