s/o W.J. & Dilley Linsay Lanham∼Elmer was a son of W J Lanham and his wife, Dilley Lindsey; both being natives of Ohio. Elmer married Euzulla "Zella" Tooley; a daughter of Samuel Tooley. They had two children. Zella preceded Elmer in death. Elmer was a day laborer in Watseka (Iroquois County), Illinois (after 1920). He entered the County Poor Farm because he had no home and was in poor health. He was admitted on September 5, 1936. Elmer's cause of death was acute myocarditis.
