She was born May 20, 1926, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Amos and Lee Wright Prater, who preceded her in death. On April 28, 1945, she married Ervin Collins, who died July 7, 1996.

Mrs. Collins was a homemaker. She was a member of Flat Branch Church of Christ, McGuffey.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Carl) Fraley, of Alger, and Cheryl (Mike) Musto, of Elida; two brothers, Russell (Maggie) Prater, of McGuffey, and Gary (Nancy) Prater, of Elida; two sisters, Charlotte Prater, of Lima, and Nella Messick, of Kenton; a sister-in-law, Ruby Prater, of McGuffey; six grandchildren, Stephanie (George) Cannode, Daniel Fraley, Ashley Fraley, Keena (Bill) Mosley, Jaime (Chris) Jenkins, and Justin (Christyl) Musto; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Frederick DeWayne Collins on Oct. 22, 1990; and a brother, Herbert Prater.

Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Alger. Pastors Thomas Kahley and Justin Musto will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger.
