NAPOLEON, N.D. -The funeral for Edna Aberle, Napoleon, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 2004, at United Methodist Church in Napoleon.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Napoleon.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

Edna Rudolph, daughter of John and Caroline Rudolph was born July 18, 1922, at Napoleon, where she grew up and attended school.

Edna worked in the grocery store in Napoleon before moving to Los Angeles where she worked in an airplane factory during World War II.

Edna was united in marriage to Thomas Aberle on Jan. 16, 1944, in Los Angeles. They moved back to Napoleon where she was a baker at the Wentz Cafe for many years.

Edna was a member of the United Methodist Church in Napoleon and the United Methodist Women. Edna also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Edna died Tuesday, Nov. 16, at her home in Napoleon. She was 82 years old.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas; two sons, Gary (Ruta) Aberle, North Glenn, Colo., and Wayne (Cheryl) Aberle, Williston; two daughters, Sharon (Teddie) Knott, Mount Solon, Va., and Diana (Robert) Ruhland, Fargo; two brothers, Harry (Charlotte) Rudolph, North Glenn and Julius Rudolph, Napoleon; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Napoleon is in charge of arrangements.
