Alice lived in St. George, Utah and returned to her Creator on March 28, 2009.


She was born on September 22, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Ernest Gustavson and Leona Hanson Gustavson.


Alice graduated from South High School in 1943. She married Robert T. Salisbury on January 27, 1948 in Salt Lake City, Utah.


Thereafter, she was a legal secretary for, and assistant to, the Utah Department of Business Regulations, and later worked for Utah Power and Light in an administrative capacity until her retirement in 1989. Alice was feisty and strong-willed, an asset to the business community, as well as a delight to her family and friends. Alice was a member of the L.D.S. Morningside 5th Ward in St. George.


She enjoyed outdoor activities, including boating, fishing and camping, and once greatly enjoyed driving her vintage 1957 Thunderbird with the top down! Alice was a gifted water colorist and oil painter, well-known in Southern Utah for her paintings; many of her paintings won prizes and were sold to collectors.


She is survived by her brother, Dean Gustavson (Vonda), Lila Stoll (Parker) and Elsie Gustaveson (Keith, deceased), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. Salisbury, in 1999.


Funeral Services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 East Dimple Dell Road (10600 South), Sandy, Utah. Friends may call at 10:00 a.m. prior to the Funeral Services.
Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Sandy, Utah.
