20 Oct 1952: Earl S. Gambler, 65, of 52 Moravian St., an employee of the Pennsylvania freight terminal here for more than 30 years, died Saturday in the Good Samaritan Hospital. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. Gambler was a grandson of the late Rev. Uriah Gambler, former pastor of Salem United Brethren Church. He was widely known throughout the Lebanon area and was active in the affairs of Hebron Evangelical United Brethren Church. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Amy E. (Kembel) Gambler, the deceased is survived by two daughters, Georgine, wife of David R. Balmer, and Maryetta, wife of Arthur Whitman, both of Lebanon; three brothers, Emerson, of Columbia; Uriah, of Lebanon, and Lloyd, Harrisburg; one sister, Mrs. Lydia Snoop, Philadelphia, and three grandchildren.
