Born November 6, 1901 in Sandusky, N.Y., she was the daughter of Mary (Loomis) and Perry Merrill. Her husband Leland died April 21, 1969.
Surviving are 6 sons; Francis of Cuba, N.Y., Robert of New Hartford, N.Y., Walter, Donald, James and Larry, all of Delevan; 5 daughters; Mrs. William (Phyllis) Houck of Delevan, Mrs. Fred (Virginia) Mezger of Gettysburg, Pa., Patricia Brechbuehl of Franklinville, Mrs. Roy (Janet) Scott of Franklinville, Mrs. Carl (Diane) Moudy of Delevan; 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Her brother Archie Merrill predeceased her.
Funeral services were held at the convenience of the family at W.S. Davis, Inc. in Delevan with Douglas Craig officiating. Burial in Sandusky Cemetery. There was no prior visitation. Memorials may be made to the Delevan Library or to the Delevan Community Park.
