Mrs. Dickson had been a resident of Texas for nearly eighty years. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Henry Exall, and a grandson, Henry Exall, Jr., and two great grandchildren, Elizabeth May and Dorothy Exall.

Her parents were Cairo (or Cano) Epperson and Polly Epperson. Her siblings included Frances E., Elizabeth, Jane, Richard, Cleveland, and Isadora. The last three were born in Texas. On 6 Jan 1845 Cairo Epperson received an unconditional certificate to 320 acres in Bowie County, Texas. This certificate documents that he emigrated to Texas 7 Dec 1841.

Sarah married Joseph J. Dickson on Dec. 4, 1856 in Red River County, Texas. Their children were: Emma, Bennie, May, and Joseph M. Dickson. Emma and Bennie died in childhood. May married Henry Exall. Joseph didn't marry. In 1870 she was a widow living with her children Mary (aka May) and Joseph in Clarksville, Red River County, Texas.
