It is possible this Mrs. Charles would be the mother of Ellen Charles listed. Although the 1880 census indicated she was 43 meaning her birth year about 1847-48 that still makes this a possible for it to be her.

I have new information and I know who this Mrs. Charles is. Her name is Pernecy Jane Newman. She was the 2nd wife of Joshua Charles (this is the person you helped me with). She was born 12 Aug 1850 and died in 1882.

Record states ae - I think this is the age 31 - died of small pox - Lot 199 - Interments in the Hazelwood Cem - Springfield, Greene, Mo - Bk US Can 977.878/S1 V3r - Bk can be found in the Genealogical or Family History Lib in SLC, Ut Pg 39

Gravesite Details
Lot maintained all year round. Monument very old, is in poor shape. Probably age weather worn related. This cemetery takes very good care of monuments, and keeping grounds cleaned.
