Nelson S. Seldomridge, 78, will known retired C & O engineer, died in the Taylor Nursing Home at Clifton Forge, Va., today at 8:15 a.m. following an illness of three years. He had been critically ill for the past six months.

Born at Forest Hill, May 27, 1880, son of the late Peter F. and Mary Jane Wykle Seldomridge, he was employed by the C & O for 43 years, retiring in 1944.

Mr. Seldomridge was a member of the First Christian church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Goldie Seldomridge; two sisters, Mrs. William Woodrum, Wheeling, Mrs. Lelia McAllister, Baton Rouge, La., and eight children, Lloyd Seldomridge of Hinton, Mrs. Clarice Crance, Lynchburg, Va., Mrs. Evelyn Wilson, Roanoke, Va., Mrs. Bernice Marks, Stapleton, Va., Mrs. Norma Shelton, Lynchburg, Va., Leonard Seldomridge, Huntington, Eldon Seldomridge, Lynchburg, and Billy Joe Seldomridge, Toledo, Ohio.
