Mr. Seldomridge, a life-long resident of Hinton and Summers county, died Saturday at 6 p.m. after an illness of several weeks. Death was attributed to ulcers.
Born at Forest Hill, Summers county on March 21, 1859, he was the son of the late Peter Franklin and Mary Jane Wykle Seldomridge.
He had been employed by the C&O Railroad for 40 years and was a member of the Methodist church and Brotherhood of Locomotive Fireman and Engineers.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Pansy Seldomridge; three sons, Clarence H., Jr., at home, Melford Lee with the U. S. Navy, and Paul S. Seldomridge of Newport News, Va.; two daughters, Mrs. Edward (Wanda) Harris, Ashland, Ky., and Mrs. Rowena Haynes, Monroe, N. J.; one brother, Nelson S. Seldomridge, Hinton, two sisters, Mrs. Rufus (Lelia) McAllister, Baton Rouge, La., and Mrs. William B. (Buanna) Woodrum, Wheeling.
