GEORGE L. MAHONEY
Funeral services for George L. Mahoney, 81, of Route 1, Rhinelander, native
of Fond du Lac, who died at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Veterans Hospital, Wood,
will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday at the Zacherl Funeral Home and 9:15 a.m.
at St. Joseph's Church, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry G. Riordan officiating. Burial
will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
A veteran of World War I having served with the U.S. Army, he had been
employed at the Badger Ordinance Works, Baraboo, Culver Military Academy in
Indiana and prior to retirement at the Ford Motor Co. Dearborn, Mich.
Mr. Mahoney was born Oct. 1, 1886, in Fond du Lac, the son of Jeremiah and
Frances Manning Mahoney. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Catherine
Bannon of Wausau.

8:45 a.m. today at Zacherl Funeral Home and at 9:15 a.m. at St. Joseph's
Church.
Rt. Rev. Msgr. Henry G. Riodan officiated. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Fleishman, John Malnory, James Bannon, Elmer Kelley
and William LaVique.
