84, of Aurora passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2009 at her home.

She was born July 12, 1924 in Bath, NC the daughter of the late Thomas H. and Elizabeth Braddy.

Ona worked for the Aurora Police Department for 16 years where she made many life-long friends. She then became employed with McEnroe Real Estate, which she enjoyed very much. Ona then became associated with Dreyer Medical Clinic and worked there until illness forced her to retire. Her greatest joy in life was giving, especially to her family and beloved grandchildren. She loved to celebrate their achievements. Ona was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Ona is survived by four children, Charles "Chuck" (Jeanie Jakosh) Forslund, Susan (Bob) Kellett, Judy (Michael) Hunter and Robert (Annette) Forslund, Jr; 10 grandchildren, Nicole (Steve) Shepley, Kristine (Web) Hemstrodt, Annie, Lucy and Alex Kellett, Emily, Chelsea and Grace Hunter as well as Allison and Robert Forslund; two great-grandsons, Finn Hemstrodt and Mason Shepley; and her dear sister, Geneva (John) Morgan of North Carolina.

In addition to her parents, Ona was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Robert in 1988, her beloved son, Richard "Dick" Forslund in 2007, five brothers including Abner and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl. Aurora with Rev. Juancho Companano officiating. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park. Visitation will take place from 10 A.M. until the funeral hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be directed to Wesley United Methodist Church, 14 N. May St., Aurora, IL. 60506.
