On September 24, 2023, findagrave showed a birthdate of November 7, 1788, for my great-great-great-grandfather's brother Jacob Stephens (1788-1865).
Years ago I was given a transcription of entries in the family Bible of Jacob's father Richard Stephens (1740-1815); Jacob's birthdate was listed as November 7, 1788, matching what is on findagrave before I send my edits. I did not see the actual Bible. I have no idea where the Bible is today.
As for the clipping from the 1887 estate settlement of Jacob's father Richard Stephens (1740-1815), which I just posted on this findagrave page, I have no idea why Richard's estate is being settled in 1887, 72 years after his death in 1815.
I know nothing about the maiden name of Jacob's wife Susan.
