To this union were born four children, Arthur A of Meadow Grove, John B of Central City, Mrs Maude Moore of Meadow Grove and Mrs Grace Colegrove who died in 1916. Their mother died April 10, 1893.

He was known as a honest upright citizen, who much preferred to do for others rather than for himself. Among other relatives left are 3 sisters, 22 grandchildren and one great grand child.
