Daughter of James Mary (Bowater) Wright

was born on 3 Jun 1708 in East Nottingham MM, Cecil County, Maryland and died on 21 Oct 1800 in Back Creek,Frederick County, Virginia at age 92.

Research Notes:

Mary is singled out in her mother's will as her beloved daughter who was chosen one of her mother's three executors. She and her husband were among the 70 families that started the Opequon Settlement in 1735. They were granted 500 acres adjoining the Hollingsworths near what is now Winchester.

She was about a decade younger than her husband and he died young. Braddock's army under the command of Co. Dunbar stayed at Widow Ballinger's on May 3, 1755.

Mary married Josiah Ballinger on 30 Jun 1727 in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey. Josiah was born in 1697 in Burlington County, New Jersey and died in Sep 1748 in Hopewell Mm, Frederick County, Virginia at age 51.
