There were two Hannah Bowens in the vicinity of Rehoboth, Mass. very close in age. One was born 19 August 1759, the daughter of Vinton Bowen. She married Amos Lee 16 Sept 1783 at Dighton, Mass. Her tombstone, in E. Bloomfield, NY, states that she died 13 Nov 1829, aged 70 years, 2 months and 23 days (perhaps a misreading for 25 days). This equates to a birth date of 21 August, 1759, almost identical the August 19, 1759 birth of Vinton Bowen's daughter as recorded in the Rehoboth town records. In contrast, the tombstone of Increase Jones' wife Hannah Bowen at Minerva, New York, says that she died 25 May 1830, aged 71 years, 4 months and 26 days. This works out to a birth date of 30 December 1758, so she was nearly nine months older than her identically-named cousin who married Amos Lee.
