McMinnville resident and Byrdstown native Florence Ellen Conner, 89, died July 14 at her home after a lingering illness.
A homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Hebert and Helen Clark Daniel; and was preceded in death by son, Cheston Conner; daughter, Alta Foust; brothers, Floyd, Alfred, Erling and R.D. Daniel; sisters, Esther Daniel, Dorothy Maynard and Audie Logan; grandson, Bobby Gilley; a stillborn grandson; and great grandchildren, Nathan Conner and Christina Wing.
She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Willie (Rob) Conner; daughter, Eva Eudene Gilley of McMinnville; sons, Charles Jackson Conner of McMinnville and Robert Conner Jr. of Murfreesboro; 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and brothers, Louis and M.B. Daniel of Indiana.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Unity Church of Christ with Odell Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at High's.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
