Funeral services for James P. Able (1873-1956), 83, Hastings, who died in a St. Augustine hospital Sunday morning after a long illness were held this morning at 10 oclock in the Chapel of the Garcia Funeral Home in St. Augustine with Rev. T. O. Baldwin, pastor of the Hastings Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Springfield, S.C., and had lived in Hastings for 30 years. He was a farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. C. C. Mathis and Mrs. J. E. Ziegler, Hastings; one brother, William Alonzo Able, Charleston, and a number of nieces and nephews.
