CATERINA STOUT-LERA Our dearest daughter, sister, wife, granddaughter and friend, Caterina Alaine Stout-Lera, age 31, of Las Vegas, passed away April 19, 2009, in Las Vegas.

She was born Sept. 29, 1977, in Logan, Utah, the sixth child of Alaine Gardner Pare and Leonard E. Stout. Catie spent the first eight years of her life in Ogden, Utah, moving to Las Vegas in 1985, with her family. She attended Las Vegas schools and especially loved drama.

At 18, she moved to Orem, Utah, and became a home health aide. This is when she discovered her natural ability to care for the handicapped, elderly and most any one who was in need of help. She dearly loved her dogs.

She married Benjamin Lera Sept. 11, 2006.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Heather Anderson.

Catie "Cricket" is survived by her husband, Benjamin Lera, of Pueblo, Mexico; her parents, Len E. Stout of White Hills, Ariz., and Alaine G. Pare of Henderson; eight brothers and sisters; as well as her maternal grandparents, Allen and Win Gardner of Mendon, Utah; and 16 nephews and nieces.

The viewing will be 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday, April 25, with services immediately following, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Burkholder Chapel, 1002 Burkholder Blvd. (corner of Burkholder and Racetrack) in Henderson.

Interment will be at Davis Memorial Gardens. Funeral services are under the direction of La Paloma Funeral Service. Donations may be made in Caterina's name at any Nevada State Bank
