Mrs. Martha Abrams, 72, Shidler St., College Corner, Ohio, died late Thursday night at
the McCullough-Hyde Hospital, Oxford, Ohio, where she had been a patient for the past
several weeks.

She was a native of Rockcastle County, Ky. and had been a resident of college Corner for
the past 23 years. She was a member of the Oxford United Methodist Church.

Survivors include the husband, Thomas; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Shearer, Hamilton,
and Mrs. Mildred Cross, Dayton; seven sons, Wilson of West Chester, Luther and Leonard of
Kettering, Raymond and Cecil of Dayton, Earl of Somerville, Willard of Miamisburg; four
sisters, Mrs. Lillian Sloane and Mrs. Ann Scales, both of Martinsville, Ind., Mrs. Etta
Dees of Hamilton, and Mrs. Rhoda Needham of Trenton, Ky.; one brother, David Bowman of
Bethany; 20 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Abrams were held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Baker Funeral Home, College
Corner, with Rev. Leonard S. Confar of the Oxford United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was in the College Corner Cemetery.
