MRS. MAUD GARDNER RITES HELD

Funeral services were held Monday from the O'Keefe and Towne funeral home. Waterloo, for Mrs. Maude Gardner, 84. a long time resident of La Porte City who passed away Jan. 24 at the Williams Rest Home, death due to a stroke.

She was born Feb. 20. 1878 in Waterloo, the daughter of Joseph and Charlote Hagerman. She was married to LeRay Gardner who preceded her in death about 15 years ago.

Surviving are one son, Evan Gardner. Rt. 4, Waterloo: two sisfers. Mrs. Rush Williams and Mrs. Etta Williams, both of Worthington, Minn.: one brother, Edgar Hagerman of Taber, Alberta, Can.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters.

Burial was made in the Geneseo cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Wagner, pastor of the Geneseo Community church.
