Mae Ellen Moore Price, 77 went to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 7, 2008 with her children at her side.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 9, 2008 from 10 AM - 12 PM at Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS. Services will be held Saturday at 12 PM in the Lowndes Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Lammons officiating and Bro. Gene Gillis, assisting.

Interment will be in Memorial Gardens, Columbus, MS with Lowndes Funeral Home, Columbus, MS directing.

Mrs. Price was born in Belk, Fayette County, AL to the late Charlie Sylvester and Addie Lou Godfrey Moore on September 2, 1930.

Her passing leaves behind a host of family and friends. Mrs. Price graduated from New Hope High School, Lowndes County, MS in 1948. She retired from Bell South with 37 years of service as an Area Representative and faithfully served as Secretary/ Treasurer of the Golden Triangle Pioneers of America, Chapter 36 of the Mississippi Pioneers of America.

Mrs. Price was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for many years and currently a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lowndes County, MS, serving in mission work with her husband all over the United States.

She was married to the love of her life, Fred Price, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2001. They were married on December 31, 1955 in Pascagoula, MS.

Mrs. Price is survived by her son - Kelley E. Price, Columbus, MS; daughter - Anna J. Price (Gilbert Dewayne) Eaves, Meridian, MS; sisters - Charlie Faye Moore Weathers, Helen Moore (William) Webster, both of Belk, AL; brother - Frank Dean (Jackie) Moore, Livingston, Al; grandchildren - Dustin C. (Betsy) Eaves, Matthew T. Eaves, Timothy A. Eaves, Lauren N. Price, Stephanie J. Price;

Mrs. Price was excited to be expecting a great- grandchild; and she leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Eaves, Matthew Eaves, Timothy Eaves, Richard Drapo II, Don Weathers, Phillip Moore, Lauren Price, Stephanie Price and Samantha Bryant.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Bolton, Gary Smith, Jason Hanson, Lewis and Madge Barton, W. R. Smith, Danny and Zarina Atkins, Robert and Dot Sloan, Inez Willingham, Robbie Fant, active and retired members of The Telephone Pioneers and Deacons of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Memorials may be sent to Margaret Lackey State Mission, c/o Mississippi Baptist Convention Board, P.O. Box 530, Jackson, MS 39205.
