NORFOLK - Ruth Fincher Howell 'Baby Sis' died on Friday, April 17, 2009, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, Norfolk, Va., after a long illness.
She was born on April 22, 1934, in Norfolk County. She was a member of United House of Prayer For All People in Newport News.
She is preceded in death by Junious Holley Sr. and Elder Russell Fincher.
Ruth leaves to cherish her memories a beloved husband, William Howell of Hampton, Va.; her son, Edward Junious Holley; four stepchildren, 12 grandchildren, five sisters and two brothers; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2009, at United House of Prayer For all People, 1433 Whittamore Rd., Chesapeake, Va., with Apostle W. P. Scott, Senior Pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the United House of Prayer Church Cemetery. A 'Wake Service' will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, 2009, at Community Funeral Home, 1210 Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, Va.
