Rosalie E. Kirgis, 69, Woodston, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 1995, at the Prairie Haven Nursing Home, Kensing.

Mrs. Kirgis was born Rosalie E. Depoy on Sept. 30, 1925, at Cawker City and was a Woodston resident for 8 months moving from Arlington, Texas, she had lived for 16 years. She was a homemaker, a member of the United Methodist Church, Humane Society and North Shore Animal League.

Survivors include her husband, John of the home; a son, Thomas of Woodston; five daughters, Nancy Monday of Searcy, Ark., Beverly McGuire of Red Oak, Texas, Cindy Rocheleau of Arlington, Texas, Sheri Kirgis of Woodston and Judy Yates of San Marcos, Texas; four brothers, Harry DePoy of Downs, Jim DePoy of Portis, Morris DePoy of Cawker City and Sam DePoy of Wichita; two sisters, Dena Wilson of Garden City and Bertrice Alspaugh of Cawker City and nine grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, Cawker City, the Rev. Jeffrey Miller officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cawker City.
