Herman Baroth of Ionia,Mich.entered service as Captain of Co.K,21st Michigan Infantry on July 30,1862.He resigned on Jan.13,1863 and was honorably discharged.On Nov.25,1862 he was wounded at Nashville,Tennessee and his whole left side was paralized,with his left arm useless and left leg nearly so.In the 1880's he was a music teacher at the Soldier's Home in Ohio
